Apogee Duet Metal For Mac Review

Metal

Will this work with an iPad Gen 2? The Apple website lists the iPad Gen 2 as Compatible, but the Apogee Duet for iPad/iPhone box I have, and their website, both only list iPad 4th Gen and above. (Maybe they've made a newer gen of Apogee Duets? My box says 2016) Is it a question of the iOS version? Because if so it seems I'm good.

The Apple website says 5.1.1 or later and the Apogee box says 6 or later. My research indicates that my iPad 2 I ordered will exceed these. Asked by Zachary S from Midvale. Sep 21, 2018.

Answer From Apogee's Knowledge Base: YES! Duet 2′s preamps can be bypassed if you’d like to connect a line level input source such as an external microphone preamp or mixer. Here are the two things you’ll need to do: 1) Connect the devices line level output to Duet’s combination input jack using an XLR cable. 2) Go to the input tab in Maestro (found in your Applications folder) and change the input selection from “Mic” or “Inst” to “+4 dBu” or “-10 dBV”. The line level selectionwill depend on the type of gear you’re connecting.

Professional audio equipment most often uses +4 dBu, while consumer audio gear is set to -10 dBV. Answered by Rob C from Nashville.
